The creator of Van Stands, Gavan and Dianne McIntyre, were 3 weeks into a 3 month Australian West Coast Caravanning trip when the idea for these little back-savers was born.

Tired of the hassle of having to awkwardly crawl on hands and knees under their van at each new destination to position blocks of wood under the stabilizer legs, they imagined how much easier it would be to have "feet" permanently fitted to their vans legs.

With some basic ideas in mind, the remainder of Gavan and Dianne's trip was spent brain-storming the concept and sketching possible designs for their new creation.

Upon returning home to Melbourne, through research into current caravan stabilizer products on the market was undertaken and it became clear that a strong, easy to install permanent fixture was definitely needed.

So to ensure their future product was as strong and safe as possible, Gavan and Dianne spent months working closely with a local engineer, thoroughly trialling various designs until the most effective was discovered.
